Depart from Sapporo in the late morning and journey into the dreamlike winter landscapes of Biei and Furano. This tour is designed for travelers who want to experience Hokkaido's most stunning after-dark illuminations without an early start.

Stop 1: Christmas Tree (30 min)
Your first stop is the legendary Christmas Tree of Biei—a single, perfectly shaped tree standing alone in an endless field of powder snow. Framed by rolling white hills and the wide Hokkaido sky, this iconic scene has captivated photographers for decades. Spend 30 minutes capturing the serene beauty and walking through the surrounding snowscape.

Stop 2: Ken & Mary Tree (5 min)
Pass by the famous Ken & Mary Tree, a towering poplar made famous by a 1970s Japanese television commercial. Standing solitary against the snowy horizon, it has become a symbol of Biei's rural charm. Enjoy a brief photo stop from the vehicle.

Stop 3: Shikisai-no-Oka / Chiyoda Farm (60 min)
Arrive at Shikisai-no-Oka, known in summer for its vibrant flower fields. In winter, the rolling hills transform into a vast snow playground. Feel the adrenaline as you ride a snowmobile across open snowy terrain (single rider: ¥15,000; tandem: ¥20,000, payable on site). Sledding and snow rafting are also available for those seeking lighter fun.

Stop 4: Shirogane Blue Pond Illumination (30 min)
As dusk falls, arrive at the world-famous Shirogane Blue Pond. Naturally colored a striking turquoise by mineral-rich spring water,the pond takes on an otherworldly beauty after dark. Specially designed lights illuminate the frozen water and surrounding snow, casting an ethereal blue glow across the winter night. This is the first of two illumination experiences on the tour and one of Hokkaido's most photographed winter scenes.

Stop 5: Ningle Terrace Illumination (40 min)
Conclude the evening with the second illumination at Ningle Terrace, a hidden village of handcrafted wooden cottages tucked into a snowy forest. As night deepens, each cabin glows with warm light from within, while outdoor illuminations cast a golden radiance over the snow-laden trees and wooden walkways. Artisans sell handmade woodwork, candles, glass art, and local crafts inside the cozy cottages. Stroll through the enchanted forest path, breathe in the crisp winter air, and immerse yourself in one of Hokkaido's most romantic after-dark experiences.

Return to Sapporo
Arrive back at JR Sapporo Station North Exit at approximately 21:30, followed by drop-off at Odori Koen Subway Station Exit 31 at 21:40.
