Day 1: Nairobi to Marsabit Town
Begin your adventure with a scenic drive past Mt. Kenya and the Equator Line. Stop for lunch in Nanyuki town before visiting the Marsabit National Park viewpoint. Marvel at breathtaking craters and forested mountains. Check in to your lodge for a relaxing evening.
Day 2: Marsabit to Kalacha Oasis
After breakfast at the lodge, drive across volcanic plains and lava fields to reach Kalacha Oasis, a true desert paradise. Check into your desert camp and enjoy an evening walk through the dunes. Capture golden-hour photos and relax by a bonfire under a star-filled sky.
Day 3: Full Day Chalbi Desert Expedition
Wake up to cool desert air and head into one of Kenya’s most extreme landscapes. Cross the entire Chalbi Desert, exploring salt pans, sand dunes, and rock formations. Visit a Gabra community village and enjoy a desert picnic lunch. Take advantage of drone and photography opportunities before ending the day with an evening bonfire and stargazing.
Day 4: Kalacha to Nairobi
Journey back through historic desert settlements, with an optional stop at North Horr, Kenya’s largest desert settlement. Enjoy a scenic return drive with lunch en route, before being dropped off in Nairobi in the evening.
