Cycle through Hell’s Gate National Park on a guided bike tour. Ride between towering cliffs, spot wildlife, and enjoy panoramic views of the Rift Valley.
Begin your journey from Nairobi, passing through Limuru and the famous Rift Valley escarpment. Spot grey baboons along the way before arriving at Suswa, where the Maasai community has lived for years at the base of Mount Suswa, a double-crater volcano in the Rift Valley.
Upon arrival at the village, be greeted with traditional songs and dances. A local elder will introduce you to the customs, dress, and way of life of the Maasai people. Try spear throwing, an ancient skill used for protection and hunting. Take part in fire-making, using only sticks and dried grass. Milk a goat and learn the importance of cattle in Maasai culture. Join the community in jumping dances and listen to stories passed down for generations.
If time allows, your guide can lead you on a short nature walk around Mount Suswa, known for its caves, wildlife, and sweeping views of the Rift Valley. End your experience with a chance to purchase authentic beadwork and handicrafts, directly supporting the Maasai women who make them.
