Discover the culture and landscapes of Laos on a 2-day tour from Vientiane. Visit the historic Sisaket Temple, explore the peaceful beauty of Nam Ngum Lake (Lao Sea), and enjoy free time in Vang Vieng
Begin your 2-day journey in Vientiane with visits to the historic Sisaket Temple and the COPE Visitor Centre, where you can learn about Laos' cultural heritage and modern history.

Leave the capital and travel toward Tha Lad and Nam Ngum Dam, an area famous for its enormous reservoir, beautiful mountain scenery, islands, and tranquil atmosphere. Known locally as the “Lao Sea,” Nam Ngum Lake offers an opportunity to enjoy one of Laos' most beautiful natural landscapes away from the busy city.

From Nam Ngum, continue toward Vang Vieng, one of Laos' most scenic destinations. Surrounded by limestone mountains, rivers, caves, rice fields, and traditional villages, Vang Vieng provides a perfect setting for travelers looking for both relaxation and adventure. In the evening, enjoy free time to explore Vang Vieng nightlife, with opportunities to walk around town, discover local restaurants and cafés, enjoy the atmosphere along the river, or simply relax after the day's journey.

On day two, begin with a visit to Nakhae Village, where you can experience seasonal local activities and discover aspects of traditional rural life. Depending on the season, activities may include agricultural work, local food preparation, traditional crafts, or other community experiences. Participate in a local cooking class and enjoy the meal you prepare for lunch, creating a memorable connection with Lao culture through food.

Continue with visits to Non Cave and Angle Cave, followed by Jang Cave and the Blue Lagoon, where you can admire Vang Vieng's dramatic karst landscape and enjoy the refreshing natural surroundings.

Before leaving Vang Vieng, visit the beautiful Balloon Field, a scenic location where you can appreciate the spectacular combination of mountains, open landscapes, and countryside. It is also an excellent place for photography and creating lasting memories of the trip.

Finally, travel back to Vientiane, enjoying the changing scenery along the way.
