Descripción
Make the most of your holiday in Jakarta by creating batik and learning about the history of Indonesia—specifically Jakarta.
Istiqlal Mosque
Let me take you inside the largest mosque in Southeast Asia. Perhaps you have never stepped inside a mosque before—whether during a holiday or at any point in your life. Here, you will witness the grandeur of the mosque's interior, where every corner holds significance regarding Islam.
Cathedral Church
This church is the largest in Indonesia; it was built by the Dutch in 1901 during their colonization of the country.
Liberty Statue
This statue, also known as the West Irian Liberation Monument, is located at Lapangan Banteng in Central Jakarta. It symbolizes the incorporation of the island of Papua into Indonesian territory in 1963.
Textile Museum
At this museum, you can view a collection of batik from across Indonesia, categorized into four groups. You can also see the plants growing in the museum grounds that serve as natural dyes for batik making. Here, you have the opportunity to create your own batik under the direct guidance of experienced artisans.
