Upon arrival, you will meet a skilled local blacksmith who will guide you through the traditional forging process. Learn how raw iron is heated in fire, shaped with repeated hammering, and carefully crafted into the distinctive curved form that makes the Khukuri famous throughout Nepal and around the world.
During the workshop, you will have the opportunity to participate in selected parts of the crafting process under expert supervision. Try traditional hammering techniques, observe the shaping and heating stages, and gain insight into the patience and skill required to create a handcrafted Khukuri. For safety and quality purposes, some technical finishing work will be completed by the blacksmith.

This is a hands-on cultural workshop, so expect a traditional workshop environment with heat, tools, and metalwork sounds

Some parts of the experience may involve light physical activity such as basic hammering under supervision
Children above 10 years old can participate only with adult supervision
The workshop is conducted in a traditional setting, so conditions may be rustic but fully authentic
