Begin your adventure early in the morning with pickup from your hotel in Cusco before traveling through remote mountain valleys to the traditional community of Pacchanta. Upon arrival in Pacchanta, enjoy a traditional Andean breakfast while admiring breathtaking views of Ausangate.

From here, begin your scenic hike through high-altitude landscapes where alpacas graze peacefully and local communities maintain centuries-old traditions. Your guide will share stories about the sacred mountains known as Apus, spiritual guardians that protect the land and the people of the Andes.

During the hike, explore the spectacular lagoons of the Ausangate region, each with its own unique color and beauty. These include Azulcocha, Otorongo, Pucacocha, Alqacocha, Qomercocha, Orco Otorongo, and China Otorongo. Each lagoon offers incredible views of the surrounding glaciers and dramatic Andean scenery.

During the journey, pause for a special Andean Connection moment, where you will learn about the Andean worldview and the importance of Pachamama (Mother Earth). This cultural moment helps you understand the spiritual relationship between Andean communities and the natural world.

After completing the trek, return to Pacchanta where a traditional Andean lunch awaits. You can also enjoy the natural hot springs (optional) while taking in the majestic glacier views before returning to Cusco in the afternoon.
