This small-group experience takes you through three distinct rainforest environments: a cacao trail, a riverside amphibian habitat, and protected forest, creating a wildlife experience unlike a typical night walk.

Your adventure begins as daylight fades and the rainforest gradually comes alive. Led by an ICT-certified local naturalist guide, you'll explore peaceful forest trails at a relaxed pace while learning how humidity, rainfall, moonlight, and temperature influence the behavior of Costa Rica's nocturnal wildlife.

One of the most unique parts of this experience is the rainforest river, where humid conditions create an ideal habitat for glass frogs, tree frogs, and the iconic red-eyed tree frog. This riverside area offers excellent opportunities to observe amphibians in their natural environment while your guide explains their remarkable adaptations and behaviors.

The trail continues through cacao plantations, where you'll discover how cultivated landscapes and native rainforest exist side by side as part of the Arenal Biological Corridor. As darkness settles over the forest, insects, reptiles, birds, and nocturnal mammals become increasingly active, transforming the landscape into a completely different world.

Groups are limited to a maximum of 8 travelers per guide, creating a quieter atmosphere with more opportunities to observe wildlife, ask questions, and enjoy personalized attention. High-quality spotting equipment helps reveal hidden animals while respecting the forest and minimizing disturbance to wildlife.

The experience lasts approximately 1.5 hours, with a maximum duration of 2 hours, depending on wildlife activity.
