Excursion to the Amazon, Nanay and Momón rivers

Itinerary
After picking you up at 9:00 a.m. from Iquitos, we will head to the Amazon jungle, where a boat will be waiting for us that will take us along the largest river in the world. As we navigate through this wild paradise, we will see that the typical flora is the rainforest. The warm temperatures and humidity have encouraged the proliferation of tall trees that will leave us impressed.

On this trip we will visit an animal sanctuary that is home to macaws, toucans, monkeys, snakes and other reptiles of all kinds, such as the anaconda. The most daring will be able to see up close some species that only live in this area of the world.

We will continue navigation to one of the three largest rivers in Peru: the Nanay. This 315 kilometer long river has a bank on which the towns of Santo Tomás, Padre Cocha and Santa Clara are located. The journey will then continue to the Momón River.

Next, we will make a stop at an Amazon camp to have a delicious buffet lunch. After eating, we will take a short walk through the jungle to visit the Amazonian tribe of the Boras. We will learn about their main customs and traditions and, those who wish, will be able to participate in their typical dances.

Finally, we will return sailing to the dock from which we set sail. From this point we will return to your hotel in Iquitos, where arrival is scheduled at 5:00 p.m.
