COPACABANA AND ISLA DEL SOL
Enjoy a unique experience traveling from Puno to Copacabana and the mystical Isla del Sol, cradle of the Inca Empire. On this day trip, you will visit the imposing Basilica of the Virgin of Candelaria and discover ancient temples and terraces dedicated to the sun god, Inti, amid the unforgettable landscapes of Lake Titicaca.
ITINERARY:
The adventure begins with pickup at your hotel in Puno between 6:10 a.m. and 6:20 a.m. We will head to the terminal to board the tourist bus to Copacabana.
On the way, we will make a brief stop at the Peru-Bolivia border (Kasani) to complete immigration formalities. Once ready, we will continue the journey until we reach Copacabana around noon, where we will enjoy a local lunch and a guided tour of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Copacabana.
Afterwards, we will board a boat heading south to Isla del Sol. There we will explore the Temple of the Sun, descend the Yumani staircase, and arrive at the legendary Eternal Fountain of the Incas, where you can drink its holy water.
At the end of the tour, we will return to Copacabana at approximately 5:00 p.m., with free time to stroll around and buy souvenirs before taking the bus back to Puno. We will arrive at approximately 9:00 p.m., with transfer to your hotel, ending this incredible adventure.
