Embark on a full-day safari from Kigali to Akagera National Park. Spot the Big Five, enjoy a hot lunch, and opt for a boat cruise on Lake Ihema.
Begin your day with a pickup from your hotel in Kigali and drive to Akagera National Park, Rwanda’s only savannah park and home to the Big Five animals.

Arrive at the park, register at the park reception, and begin the morning game drive. Spot wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and possibly lions and rhinos.

Break for a picnic lunch at a designated area inside the park. Then, continue your game drive, exploring different habitats and spotting more wildlife.

Opt to enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Ihema (advance booking recommended) to see hippos, crocodiles, and water birds.

Exit the park and begin the return drive to Kigali.
