Day 1: Kigali – Bigogwe – Lake Kivu (Gisenyi)
Begin your adventure with a morning departure from Kigali. Enjoy a scenic drive through Rwanda’s northern highlands, taking in the breathtaking landscapes. Arrive in Bigogwe, where you’ll immerse yourself in local culture and community activities in a beautiful rural setting.
Continue to Gisenyi on Lake Kivu. Take a relaxing boat ride on the calm waters, followed by a lakeside dinner. Spend a peaceful evening by the lake before settling in for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Gisenyi – Musanze – Kinigi – Kigali
After breakfast, depart for Kinigi. Visit the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village to gain insight into traditional Rwandan life, music, and customs. Next, head to the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund to learn about conservation efforts protecting mountain gorillas and their habitat.
