Begin your day with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Mirissa, Galle, Ahangama, Talpe, Hikkaduwa or Weligama. Travel comfortably in an air-conditioned vehicle to the scenic Handunugoda Tea Estate, located near Ahangama.
Once you arrive, enjoy a guided tea factory and estate tour lasting about 1 hour. Your local guide will explain the full tea-making process, from fresh green leaves to the final packed tea ready for export. Walk through the tea fields, learn how tea is picked, and see the machinery used for withering, rolling, fermenting, drying, and grading.
