Embark on a 3-day private safari tour from Arusha. Explore Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara, and stay in comfortable mid-range accommodations with full-board meals.
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Your driver-guide will collect you from your hotel in central Arusha in the morning. After a brief safari orientation, travel through the scenic countryside to Tarangire National Park, famous for its ancient baobab trees, large elephant herds, and wildlife-rich Tarangire River.
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in search of elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, antelopes, and numerous bird species. Stop for a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your wildlife-viewing adventure. Later, drive to Tarangire Osupuko Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Tarangire to Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast, travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend approximately 600 meters into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater. This UNESCO World Heritage Site contains grasslands, forests, wetlands, and a seasonal lake supporting an exceptional concentration of wildlife.
Explore the crater floor in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, and the endangered black rhinoceros. Leopards may also be encountered, although sightings are rare. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater before continuing the afternoon game drive. Afterwards, proceed to Ngorongoro Tortilis Camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park and Return to Arusha
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park for your final game drive. Explore its groundwater forest, acacia woodland, open floodplains, and lakeshore habitats beneath the dramatic Great Rift Valley escarpment.
Look for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, hippos, baboons, monkeys, and colorful birdlife. The park is also associated with tree-climbing lions, although sightings cannot be guaranteed. After a picnic lunch and further wildlife viewing, return to Arusha in the late afternoon or early evening for drop-off at your central hotel.
