This route is often referred to as the “Coca-Cola” route due to its relative ease and popularity among tourists. The hike typically takes around 5–6 days to complete, offering a gradual ascent that allows for better acclimatization compared to some other routes.

Early in the morning, people from Moshi, Kilimanjaro, or Arusha get ready. They're excited to start their adventure. They meet experienced guides who will help them. Everyone gets a good briefing to know what to expect.

Then, they go to the Marangu Gate, which is the start of the hike. People feel excited as they enter. They walk through the rainforest, which is very green and has lots of trees. Birds sing, and it's peaceful.

They learn about the local culture along the way. At midday, they take a break at Mandara Hut and have lunch. They rest and chat with others.

After lunch, they keep walking up. They reach Mahundi Crater, where they can see beautiful views. The air is fresh, and everyone feels amazed by the scenery.
