Our tour starts in the morning with a satisfying breakfast before we make our way to Materuni village, nestled on the slopes of Kilimanjaro. The locals refer to Materuni Waterfall as Nambe Waterfall, meaning 'first-born,' as it's the first waterfall that originates from Mount Kilimanjaro. However, for identification purposes, it's known as Materuni, named after the village it's located in. During the tour, you'll have the chance to participate in roasting, pounding, and grinding your coffee. After that, we'll head to Materuni Waterfalls, passing by plantations teeming with local fruit and lush vegetation. As we explore the village further, you'll learn about the local culture and take part in customary activities. The day will conclude with a refreshing dip in the pristine waterfall pool, followed by a delectable lunch. After lunch, it'll be time to return to your lodge in Arusha or Moshi, leaving behind cherished memories of Materuni.
