Explore Cat Tien National Park on a 2-day tour from Ho Chi Minh City. Trek through the rainforest, visit the Crocodile Swamp, and enjoy a jeep ride through the forest.
Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Nam Cat Tien National Park – Night Safari
Get picked up from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City in the morning and drive to Cat Tien National Park. Check into your hotel, have lunch, and take a short break.
In the afternoon, trek into the tropical jungle to learn about the variety of plants and animal life. Gaze at the Giant Tung Tree and put yourself in harmony with wildlife. Choose to trek further to see more sites, such as Lagerstroemia ovalifolia (BangLang), Tetrameles nudiflora (Tung), and Cycas rumphii (Thien Tue).
In the evening, take a jeep tour and ride for about 1 hour with a chance to see lorises, fishing cats, pangolins, civets, and more. Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Cat Tien Crocodile Swamp – Ho Chi Minh City
Wake up early to enjoy the lively forest sounds of birds singing and gibbons calling. Have breakfast at the hotel.
At 7:30 AM, take a jeep to the Crocodile Swamp, home to Siamese crocodiles and many rare birds that have been listed in the Red Book of Animal Protection in Vietnam and around the world.
After a 20-minute drive, trek 5 km to the ferry terminal. If you are lucky, admire the charming peacock courtship dances, melodious sounds from colorful birds on the hundred-year-old trees, or the sight of innocent deer seeking food.
Immerse yourself in the majestic scenery of the Crocodile Swamp. Learn about the freshwater Siamese crocodile and hear some myths about this wetland with wild lotus around.
After that, get back to your hotel for lunch and check out. Head back to Ho Chi Minh City.
