Descripción

- Taste signature Hoi An noodles and street snacks with a born-and-raised local guide. - Ideal for culture-focused foodies, solo travelers, and photographers seeking an atmospheric night.
Discover the magic of Hoi An at night on a small-group food and culture walk that goes beyond the usual tourist restaurants. This evening experience is all about hidden gems, family-run eateries and lantern-lit streets, guided by a local who loves sharing the city’s flavors and stories.

You’ll meet your English-speaking local guide in or near the Old Town, then head into quiet backstreets and atmospheric alleys where Hoi An truly comes alive after dark. Along the way, you’ll stop at carefully selected family-run restaurants and street-food stalls where locals actually eat.

Over the course of the night, you’ll taste more than eight different dishes, such as banh beo (steamed rice cakes), white rose dumplings, fried wontons, cao lau noodles, Hoi An-style banh mi, grilled pork skewers, fermented pork sausage and crispy Vietnamese pancakes (banh xeo). The experience ends on a sweet note with traditional Vietnamese desserts and local drinks or herbal tea.

Your guide will also lead you through the night market and lesser-known food streets, explaining how each dish fits into Hoi An’s culinary history and how local people enjoy their evenings. You’ll gain insight into the town’s unique mix of Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese influences through its food.

At one point in the evening, you’ll step inside an old house to enjoy traditional local tea, taking a short break from the bustle outside. This is a chance to slow down, ask questions and learn more about daily life, family traditions and how the town has changed over time.

To complete the night, you’ll release colorful lanterns on the Hoai River, an iconic and peaceful local ritual that many visitors remember as a highlight of their stay in Hoi An. Your guide will show you how it’s done and share the meaning behind this simple, beautiful tradition.

With a small group (maximum 15 guests) and a flexible walking pace, this tour is perfect for couples, solo travellers and food lovers who want an authentic, warm and personal experience of Hoi An’s nightlife and cuisine.
