Our stay in Bad Dürkheim combines fascinating knowledge with a real wine vibe. We will walk together to the impressive saline – the historic graduation house – where you will feel the soothing, salty breeze and learn exciting details about salt extraction in the past. An absolute visual highlight is the famous Dürkheim giant barrel, the largest barrel in the world. Here you will hear the curious stories of its creation and learn why, although it was never filled with wine, it is an absolute monument to Palatinate wine culture. Right next door is the legendary Brühlwiesen-Platz, home of the Dürkheim Sausage Market. You will learn firsthand how the world's largest wine festival has evolved from a medieval market to today's cult event.

The grand finale of this tour is a wine tasting – first in a historic setting with the flair of the Roman era and then at a selected top winemaker in the region. You will taste the fine wines of the Palatinate – above all, of course, the sparkling Riesling, for which the region is world-famous.
